Our new STEM lessons are designed to help students understand that although the film industry is a creative art form, technical skills such as Maths are hugely important in creating a believable world on-screen. Students will be taught the secrets of filmmaking by fully-qualified teachers.
STEM LESSONS
MOVIE MATHS – KS2, KS3
Students will use mathematical skills including scale factor, percentages and fractions to discover how half-giant Hagrid was brought to life on screen.
THE ART OF FOLEY – KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5
Students will discover the importance of sound in film and experience one of the most intriguing jobs in film – the Foley artist.
