Calling All Teachers!
Would you like to win a class trip to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter? To celebrate Harry Potter Book Day on 17th October 2024, we’re giving away a magical prize including:
- Studio Tour tickets for a group of up to 35 students and seven adults
- An exclusive lesson before your tour, with the chance to meet a Harry Potter filmmaker
- One set of Harry Potter books provided by Bloomsbury Publishing
- Complimentary return travel
How To Enter
To be in with a chance of winning, we’re challenging students to get creative and imagine their own magical creature. If you’d like some help, Twinkl – the trusted home of teacher-created resources – have created a range of lesson resources for you to use in your teaching.
Submissions can be in any format, whether that’s a piece of writing, a drawing, or a physical object! Simply take a photo or scan of your students’ work and submit using the entry form below. Submissions are welcome from students aged up to 19 years old and the winning entry will be selected based on creativity and imagination.
The competition is open from 15th July – 31st October 2024. Once all entries have been received, a random selection will be presented to Harry Potter filmmakers, Animatronic Designer Joe Scott and Art Director Gary Tomkins, who will choose the winner!
Joe and Gary will be looking for…
- What the creature looks like – its colour, size, does it have any fur or feathers?
- What abilities the creature has – maybe it’s venomous or can fly?
- How the creature interacts with humans
- Originality – something that Gary has never seen before! Work should be students’ own invention and not feature characters or objects from Harry Potter
- Imagination – let students’ imagination run free, this will make their design unique
- Creativity – students don’t need to be skilled artists, but should think about how they are going to communicate their ideas creatively, for example using labels or annotations
This competition is now closed.
